A Queensland Museum
Cobb+Co Museum is part of the Queensland Museum and is located in Toowoomba. The museum is home to the National Carriage Collection, a collection of 47 horse-drawn vehicles that played an important role in Queensland’s development. Hands on Heritage Trade Workshops
Another key drawcard for the Cobb+Co Museum is the hands-on interactive heritage trade workshops regularly held at the museum. You can experience the traditional skills of leather working, Calligraphy, blacksmithing, silversmithing, & lead lighting. Experience the wonder and satisfaction of learning these masterful skills and crafting something both functional and beautiful with your own hands as you are guided by the museums exert artisans. If you’re interested in learning the skills but don’t want to get your hands dirty don’t worry because spectators are welcome too!
Open Everyday
You can visit the museum anytime you want. As the museum is open year-round and even on weekends too making a great place to take the family. It’s open daily from 9:30am to 4pm The only days the museum is closed on Good Friday, Anzac Day, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day.
Interactive Science Centre
If you’re curious minded, you’ll absolutely love the interactive displays in the science centre. Discover the science of energy the fun filled experience rich interactive stations. There is a total of 13 of these stations including some crowd favourites like the Flight Test and Newton’s Cradle, and Floating Ball. Admission into the science centre is included in Cobb+Co Museum admission making it a wonderful bonus.
Excellent Value
Tickets are very affordably priced. At the time of writing it only costs $12.5 for adults, $10 for concession card holders and $6.5 for children aged 3 years old to 15 years old, and free for kids under 3 years old. They also have family passes too making entry to this wonderful museum even more attractive to families. What’s more you can even purchase an annual pass allowing you entry into the museum as many times as you want for 12 months. The cost for annual passes is less than the cost of two visits! So it’s definitely worth while if you plan on returning to the museum within a year.
What’s more the Cobb+Co Museum is free for all residents of the Toowoomba regional council. To prove you are a resident you must show proof of residency by showing the staff your driver’s license or a utility bill indicating your residential address.
