Location
Toowoomba Live Steamers Inc. was founded in 1973 and has operated a miniature railway in the city since 1996. Originally Toowoomba Live Steamers Inc. operated out of Willow Springs Adventure Park (Currently Springs Garden World), then at Kearney Springs Historical Park before finally moving to its present-day location at Lemway Park. Their address is 11 Lemway Ave, Kearneys Spring QLD 4350.
Opening Days and Hours
Toowoomba Live Steamers Inc. miniature railway is only open to the public once a month. Every third Sunday of each month the railway is open to the public for joyrides from 11am through till 4pm. Tarin rides may be cancelled in the event of unfavourable weather conditions. If in doubt, contact Toowoomba Live Steamers Inc. beforehand.
Ticket prices
At the time of writing, single ticket prices start at $2 per person. The cost is the same for children, adults, and concession card holders. They also have multi ride passes available for purchase. a ten ride multi pass will set you back $18 and a twenty-five ride multi pass costs $40, however these multi pass tickets can be used on any public running day and are transferable to multiple passengers. So, they’re a great option to pass around to friends and family or for those who want a monthly miniature steam train ride.
Private Charters
If you’re looking for a fun, and unique way to celebrate your child’s birthday? Why not book the Toowoomba Live Steamers Inc. miniature railway. It’s a great stress-free way to keep all the kids, and adults entertained. Perfect for birthday parties, family gatherings, Christmas parties, and more. Bookings are available most days of the year excluding public holidays and public running days (every third Sunday of the month). Private charter bookings costs are $250 which provides unlimited passenger rides for the duration of the booking. Booking duration is up to three hours between 10am and 3pm.
Safety
It’s a health and safety requirement that all passengers of the miniature steam train wear fully enclosed footwear. Passengers who are not wearing fully enclosed footwear will not be permitted to ride on the train.
